Week 5 - Sept 30- Oct 6

This week was not very fun.

I'm only getting around to writing this the week after.

It started off with a phone interview for a job that I don't think I'm going to be getting. (I didn’t)

Was looking at social media trends I could try out when I saw that post from OntarioPlace4All. The post was asking people to come down and witness the destruction and the removal of trees from Ontario Places West Island, a once lovely park that the people of Toronto could use.

So I went packed my bag grabbed a tripod and went down to document what was happening. I got down to the location around 11:30am on October the 3rd, by then most of the trees had been cut down, I saw the Mink running along the rocks just outside the fence keeping people out and I watched the Red Tailed Hawk land in one of last trees standing, I wonder what it was thinking as it watched its home being destroyed.

All this destruction for a Spa.

I'm not going to go into detail about what's going on in this post as it deserves a full write up with proper and properly sourced evidence about why this is a horrible for all of Ontario

For regular updates about Ontario Place check out the website here, follow OntarioPlace4All on Instagram, Facebook and X/Twitter

and to top it all off I still haven’t seen any salmon jumping in the Don River
