Week 2 - Sept 9th to 15th

I started the week off by taking a photo trip down to the Evergreen Brickworks. The goal of the trip was to find and film a bird for my "Spot the Bird" Games I post as shorts on Instagram and TikTok as well as test out a macro set up.

The macro set up I'm testing isn't that exciting its just a flash with a 4x6in diffuser on it, I'm mostly just interested in seeing how it works in the field and what I can do with it while photographing subjects (bugs) that move around.

Findings of the test.

The set up is a little heavy, difficult to hold and operate with one handed, there was also some light rain that day mixed with wind so my bugs were blowing all around the frame.

Middle of the week I've been editing the rest of the Air Show photos and starting on the video clips. I'm in no rush for these as my only plan for them is to post to stock websites. In the past the majority of my items have been rejected, the reason they give is that it’s a press event and I don't have right paperwork, but if I wait a month to upload the same files I don't get the rejection message. Weird I know

I've also spend some time looking for easier ways to create short videos for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Discovered that CapCut has a desktop app, honestly I thought it was mobile only.

Besides this I've just been continuing with some general cleaning

End of week update,

I've continued with the macro testing at home, found a big spider and have been using him as a test subject for photo and video

I haven't been able to finish the airshow video files as Adobe Premier kept crashing on me, re-installing it seems to have fixed the problem but what a waste of time this was.
